ADMISSION PROCEDURES

All admissions into Bachelor and Master degree programmes are processed by the Registrar’s office of Lakeview. The final decision on admission of a student will be made entirely at the discretion of the Registrar.

Students desiring admission to LBC&S should go through the following information carefully:

  1. The completed application form must be submitted along with other necessary documents (Xerox copies of academic certificates, references, personal statements, health certificates and photographs) to the college Registrar.
  2. If granted admission, the student will be informed by mail after which the admission fee of Rs.1000 must bepaid. This fee is to be sent by Demand Draft and payable to Lakeview Bible College and Seminary. Payment of this fee ensures the reservation of a seat for the student.
  3. All admission procedures must be completed before June 15 of any given year.  Applications received after June 1 will not be considered for admission.
  4. The originals of all academic certificates must be submitted to the Registrar upon the student’s arrival on campus. If a student is unable to acquire certain original certificates, a concession will be granted until September 30 of the year of admission. Failing to provide the originals by this date will result in the student being dismissed from campus. All original certificates will be returned to the student when he leaves the college.
  5. Candidates will be notified within ten days after receipt of all official documents about their admission status.
  6. To qualify for admission into the Master of Divinity programme, students must successfully complete an examination as well as a personal interview.
  7. Admitted students will be permitted to attend classes only on payment of at least the first installment of semester fees.
  8. Foreign students must provide adequate documentation permitting them to study in India.

TRANSFERS

As a rule, LBC&S admits students only into the first year of Bachelor’s or Master’s studies. Students from ATA-accredited institutions will be considered for transfer after close examination of their previous academic records.

Academic credits acquired from previously-attended colleges will be applied only to the equivalent subjects in the Lakeview curricula. The grades for subjects transferred do notbecome part of the student’s cumulative grade point average (GPA).

No transfers are permitted beyond the second year of any course. Transfer students must fulfill all admission criteria before they are permitted to attend classes.
